#6 - Island Hopping By Bicycle On Awaji/Shikoku
WHAT IS IT?
Explore a dedicated cycle route taking over bridges connecting several islands in the Set Inland Sea. If cycling is your thing then this is a must-do. Even if you are only a fair-weather cyclist this is thoroughly recommended. There’s a clearly sign-posted route taking you across several islands including Awaji and Shikoku. It’s designed with the casual cyclist in mind, with most of the route having a dedicated cycle path. It takes in some glorious views along the way and you get to cycle across a number of impressive and large suspension bridges. You could do just one day of cycling but two or more days might suit you better, staying in minshuku (bed and breakfasts in family homes, which you can pre-book in advance) along the way.
